Kim Gwangseok - gil Street

Kim Gwangseok was an influential and extremely popular South Korean folk rock singer. The street he used to live on is now used as historical site filled with beautiful murals and statues. You can even get a stamp book located near the information area and collect stamps throughout the street. 

The street is filled with beautiful colors and interactive murals, which was so fun!

I loved the guitars that were wonderfully placed as seats, as statues, and to take fun photos with. 

There is even a cute tunnel that you can write your wishes on a guitar and hang it up!

Have fun exploring all of the neat cafes around the street as well!

First Visit to a Korean Hospital

We are a civilian family living in Daegu, South Korea. That means we are last on the list to be able to use the army facilities for medical care. I really wanted to get accustomed to being a local so I decided to go to a Korean Hospital. 

The boys have to get physicals before they can go to school. So I went by the hospital and booked their appointments. I can also just call in and get an appointment same day! YAY! They have an international department in the women's hospital, which is great. They will walk you over to the pediatric side for your first visit. 

Once you are there, you get a ticket when you walk in the door and wait for your turn. Once called, you get a paper with patient information and walk upstairs. You turn it in to the lady at the front counter and wait to be called. You can see your name on the screen as well. You will have a nurse walk you through EVERYTHING! It is wonderful and so easy!

The boys got weighed and measured and then we waited for the eye doctor!

Then we waited with our nurse to see the pediatrician. They are so nice and helpful. They even gave Harrison a lollipop because he was a little antsy.

Once you are done, you go downstairs and pay. They have a pharmacy there as well. We waited to get our medicine after we made payment. The way they dispense their medicine is so neat. They come in cool little bottles that you can mix in an empty measuring bottle. You can squeeze out the medicine super easy and Harrison actually enjoyed drinking it this way.

I highly recommend checking out this hospital. I will be using them as well. They are so kind and helpful and extremely professional. First experience at a Korean Hospital was a success. Oh, and they definitely have cafes all over the hospital too! Love it!!

Moving OVERSEAS!

We are moving to SOUTH KOREA!

Holy cow! Our dreams have finally come true! We get to move overseas and raise our children in another country. How exciting... and stressful! 

There is 2 weeks left until we leave San Antonio, TX on July 26th! What do we do? Who do we visit? What do we leave behind? Where are we going to live? So many questions but thank goodness that we live in the Social Media age! 

Hardest part is transitioning from the states to what is acceptable in Korea. We have to rent our house, figure out how to take 1/3 of our household goods, only take 1 car (my truck is too big in Korea haha) and say goodbyes! Oh yeah - and try to be a great wife and rockstar mom to 2 children! LOL 

Can't wait to do this journey with you all! I hope we inspire people to travel and live abroad and to go on exciting adventures whenever the opportunity persists. I cannot wait to see the fashion and what's trending on the other side of the world! It's going to be a blast!!!!

Why Blog?

Heyyyyyy! So it seems like everyone is blogging these days right? I mean that is seriously how I get most of my information for moving, having a baby, quotes... you name it. But have you every thought about blogging yourself? 

I wanted to blog about mostly fashion. I love clothes and love dressing up! Well, it gets costly to keep up and through taking pictures of my closet I was discovering my city! I wanted to find cool photo spots and ended up locating the neatest venues! Now I am addicted to showing you places you might not have found or simply showing you areas to make you come visit!!

I talked to a lot of bloggers and asked them their why. My favorite answer was  - do you remember MySpace? Exactly... it's gone! What if all the pictures you post on Facebook and Instagram disappear when those companies fall short. I about lost it! Makes sense! I don't have a lot of pictures of my childhood or my parents life before me and have always wanted to provide that to my kids just in case they were interested. 

Now that I have 2 baby boys, I want them to have the itch to discover the world like their dad and I have. I want them to see how much they did so it makes them want to explore everything and rediscover these places themselves. I hope they know we wanted them to have fun, be kids, and get as much cultural experiences as possible growing up. 

So my mission is to explore my surroundings and capture as much as I can while still living in the present with my family! I hope that inspires you to blog as well! Wish us luck and enjoy the ride!!
