Did you know that Daegu is surrounded by mountains? Neither did I but what a pleasant surprise! There is so much to do in Apsan Park depending on the weather, the time you have available to explore, and the people you are with. The park is one of the largest urban-eco parks in Daegu. The mountain reaches a peak of 600 meters high.
You can bring your strollers/wagons to certain parts that are paved. The Koreans love kids and will definitely stop to say hi. It's wonderful!
We LOVE Dinosaur Park! It's a FREE area that has life-size dinosaurs that make sounds you can hear a mile away. You can take brushes and pretend you are looking for bones, there are slides, a sandpit, and of course beautiful views of the area!
Address: 1586-4 Bongdeok 2(i)-dong, Nam-gu, Daegu
You can walk past the Dinosaur Park and see temples as well! They are so beautiful!
They have a cool area that includes climbing up a rope to get to the top of the hill, a maze, suspension bridge, and tons of outdoor gyms!
And of course, you can hike the gorgeous mountain! There are so many trails and it would take days to hit all the marks. Definitely go to the top though; it's so worth it!
Perfect places everywhere to meditate as well and just enjoy the outdoors.
Going at night is even better. I highly recommend you take the cable car up to the observatory to get the best view of the city! You see why it is called Colorful Daegu!
Address: 574-114 Apsansunhwan-ro, Daemyeong 9(gu)-dong, Nam-gu, Daegu
It is an extremely popular date night spot on the top of the observatory. There is even a cafe
too!
I hope you enjoy your time at Apsan Park!
