Lincoln's First Playdate at a Kids Cafe!

So when I moved to Korea, I had no clue how much there was for children to do. Have you ever heard of a Kid's Cafe? Me either!!! But they are lifesavers especially for stay-at-home-mamas!

I meet a ton of moms at the playground. So I set up a play date for Lincoln with a local Korean. I was so excited because Lincoln is FREE because he is an infant. It was a way for me to hang out with another mom and for Lincoln to have sensory time.

So when you arrive after finding parking in the crazy town of Daegu, you have to first take off your shoes and put on their slippers. I just LOVE how clean everything is!!

They have a great big area to eat while your kids play. They might have birthday party rooms and they have the best nursing & diaper changing stations. It makes moms feel so comfortable and at-home while you are there for 2-3 hours. You usually get a FREE coffee too with paying to attend their cafe.

Even though Lincoln can't walk, he can fully enjoy the facility! He absolutely loved sitting on the trampoline and I bounced him a bit to understand that he was on something fun and different. He loved the ball pit too!!

With their bathrooms, you use take off your shoes and use their slippers. They have kiddie toilets too which is awesome for potty training!

You can even order delivery to the cafe!! The kids really enjoyed the food in between play time.

I definitely recommend meeting people and enjoying kids cafes! They are a must and so much fun for everyone!!! Have a blast!

First Visit to a Korean Hospital

We are a civilian family living in Daegu, South Korea. That means we are last on the list to be able to use the army facilities for medical care. I really wanted to get accustomed to being a local so I decided to go to a Korean Hospital.

The boys have to get physicals before they can go to school. So I went by the hospital and booked their appointments. I can also just call in and get an appointment same day! YAY! They have an international department in the women's hospital, which is great. They will walk you over to the pediatric side for your first visit.

Once you are there, you get a ticket when you walk in the door and wait for your turn. Once called, you get a paper with patient information and walk upstairs. You turn it in to the lady at the front counter and wait to be called. You can see your name on the screen as well. You will have a nurse walk you through EVERYTHING! It is wonderful and so easy!

The boys got weighed and measured and then we waited for the eye doctor!

Then we waited with our nurse to see the pediatrician. They are so nice and helpful. They even gave Harrison a lollipop because he was a little antsy.

Once you are done, you go downstairs and pay. They have a pharmacy there as well. We waited to get our medicine after we made payment. The way they dispense their medicine is so neat. They come in cool little bottles that you can mix in an empty measuring bottle. You can squeeze out the medicine super easy and Harrison actually enjoyed drinking it this way.

I highly recommend checking out this hospital. I will be using them as well. They are so kind and helpful and extremely professional. First experience at a Korean Hospital was a success. Oh, and they definitely have cafes all over the hospital too! Love it!!

A Day at the Lake in Daegu, South Korea!

A huge surprise that I was delighted to find out was that there is a beautiful lake in South Daegu. Suseong Lake has everything you need especially for the kids!

My son loved seeing the fishes and ducks in the water overlooking the breathtaking views.

You can go on the swan paddle boats and enjoy the water fountain show to Korean music!

We came across the cute refurbished airplane which is called the Snow Factory Cafe!

There are even love locks on the lake along with historical pieces throughout. My son enjoyed running along the water.

The playground area is wonderful! They even have a basketball court and a lot of greenery to run around and in the warmer months they provide misting stations.

A local brought his pet parrot and allowed the kids to touch and hold him!

My son had a blast with the meditation areas and outdoor workout equipment!

You will have a blast going to the lake. It's great for all ages!

It is fun during the day and lit up at night. They are a ton of cafes, restaurants, and bars located in the area too! Enjoy!
